Touch Wood

The story
An exploration of wood, textile and touch. A material-led product design project exploring how solid wood can take on the visual language of fabric through sculptural forms, perforations and embroidery, while integrating touch sensors to create an interactive experience. Developed with Anuvad Innovation Studio for Design Democracy, exploring the relationship between craft, materials and interactive technology.
- 01Anuvad Innovation Studio brings together craft, materials and technology to create interactive products and experiences.
- 02My role involved developing the concept and exploring how the softness and fluidity of fabric could be translated into wood.
- 03I worked on CAD modelling, renders, material exploration and CNC-ready files, while exploring perforations, embroidery and touch sensor integration.
- 04I also coordinated with vendors, worked on-site during prototyping and fabrication, and contributed to refining the product from concept to final execution.
